The story highlights the reopening of our Brookfield landmark after an 18-month renovation and the renewed sense of energy it’s brought back to Pond Village. While the segment walks viewers through the restoration of the Inn, it also shines a warm light on what’s happening downstairs at the Pond Village Pub.
Cat captures what we hoped the pub would become: a comfortable, familiar place where locals and guests feel welcome from the moment they walk in. One of our neighbors, Ted Elzey, summed it up perfectly when he shared how quickly the pub has become part of his routine, calling it “renewed energy in the village.” We couldn’t agree more.
The piece also touches on the hands-on nature of the project, from preserving original details to collaborating with neighbors who helped bring the pub to life, including the completion of the bar itself. Hearing Ted describe the result as giving him a “warm, fuzzy feeling” meant a lot to us. That sense of pride and connection is exactly what we hoped to create.
We’re grateful to WCAX and Cat Viglienzoni for telling this story so thoughtfully and for highlighting the role the Pond Village Pub is already playing in Brookfield’s daily life.
